When installing STK, you might experience the following error:
Error 266 message received:
"Data1.cab has an invalid digital signature (Error 266 returned by WinVerifyTrust)
The problem was that the file couldn’t be verified because it was signed with a new certificate by the vendor. This new certificate depends on a new VeriSign certificate (Root Authority Certificate) that is by default not included in Windows."The 266 error typically occurs on closed/classified systems, where computers do not receive regular Windows updates. Normally, Windows updates its list of Root Certificates automatically, but this does not work in an environment where all internet connections are blocked and Windows Updates are not applied frequently.
To fix this error, make sure the computer has appropriate Windows Updates, or update the Root Certificates directly.
