Why am I Getting "Error 1311: Source File not found" When Installing MATLAB Connectors?

If you are seeing the message "Error 1311: Source file not found" when attempting to install MATLAB Connectors, make sure you are running the setup.exe file at the top level of the install folder. Do not run the MSI file.

If you are running the install directly from a DVD or CD, then you may have a Windows Security Policy set which is causing the error. In this case, simply copy the install locally and then run the install from the local copy.
