To begin a transfer of your AGI-issued* license(s) from one machine to another, please complete Part I of the License Transfer Agreement form. You must include your Customer ID Number (account number) and at least one of the following for both the “From” and “To” machine:
Disk ID
MAC address
Dongle ID
User Names (legacy STK only)
Your selection depends on type of license being transferred. We must have both the “old” and the “new” IDs. Select the “All licenses from this machine” check box at the top of the form if you want to transfer all the licenses currently residing on the old machine (tied to the designated ID) to the new machine/ID. It does not indicate that you want all of the licenses in your account moved to the new machine/ID.
AGI will follow up with Part II of the License Transfer Agreement when all transfer work is complete. Part II verifies that you have removed the old licenses from active use.
The ability to transfer licenses is one of the benefits of having active product maintenance. If the STK products pertaining to this transaction have fallen out of active maintenance, then you will have an extra step of speaking with your AGI Renewal representative to determine the costs involved in an out-of-maintenance transfer request.
NOTE: If you revert back to the original Host ('From') after receiving the new license without installing the new license, please let us know. Future transfers may be delayed if AGI does not receive the completed Part II.
If the 'DocuSign' link to the License Transfer Agreement above does not work for you, then you can complete and return the
form as a pdf to
support@agi.com.
* If you licenses were issued by Ansys, then you can 'rehost' your licenses via the
Ansys License Portal.
