Having the latest navigation, airport, and runway information is important for accurate Aviator aircraft flight modeling in STK. Every 28 days, the FAA publishes a new version of the Coded Instrument Flight Procedures (CIFP) dataset, which contains up-to-date ARINC424 information on airports, navaids, runways, and waypoints. You can load this dataset into STK by following these steps:
- Download the latest CIFP dataset from the FAA's website and unzip the file to your local machine.
- Open the Aviator Catalog Manager in STK. You can find it in the "Utilities" tab.
- Expand the Runway -> ARINC424 runways section in the pane on the left. Select "User Master Data File" and set the file to the 'FAACIFP18' file in the directory you previously unzipped. Clicking the Save button will load all of the ARINC data into STK for use in Aviator.
