Artemis II made history on April 1st, 2026 by sending four astronauts farther from Earth than any human has ever ventured and marking the start of a new era in human space exploration.
The attached STK scenario shows the trajectory of the Orion crew module. The reference trajectory begins shortly after launch and separation from the SLS. The STK scenario contains four 3D views for users:
- An Orion-centered view
- An Earth inertial view: good for viewing the low Earth Orbit and Highly Elliptical Orbit near the Earth
- A Moon view: this shows the flyby of Orion on April 6th
- An Earth-Moon rotating frame: this shows the full trajectory
