There is not a current native way to complete this in the 2D Graphics window options or properties of Ansys Systems Tool Kit® (STK®) application version 12.
The workaround that exists is to create an inlay image that is transparent over the top of your 2D Graphics window map. Using an external paint tool, such as PowerPoint, you can create your inlay image with the spacings and labels you need and then add that image to the 2D Graphics window.
For creating the image, use a 1920x968 pixel resolution (or 3000 x 1500). In PowerPoint, you can set your slide size to 20in x 10in, equivalent to 1920x968 pixels.
Create longitude lines with the spacing you need and the text labels you desire. Using white dashed lines with a weight of 1 1/2 pts with white text at 36 point font is a good sizing for different STK 2D Graphics window sizes. Make sure your text contains an outline to really make the labels pop!
Make sure you overlay the longitude lines on a solid color background with a different color than the lines and the text. Finally, change the upper-left corner pixels of your image to the color of the solid color background. Make your output file a BMP to make sure the transparent feature built into STK 2D Graphics window properties works correctly. You can read more about that here: 2D Graphics Window - Properties - Imagery
The last thing is to do is to upload that image to the STK 2D Graphics window, using the following steps:
- Identify the spacing of longitude lines. The attached example uses 20 degrees.
- Open the 2D Graphics window properties and go to the Details page.
- Select the check box for Lon Spacing under the Lat/Lon Lines section.
- Enter 360 in the field. This changes the longitude spacing to only show the 0 degree longitude line.
- Still in the 2D Graphics window properties, go to the Imagery page.
- Click the Add button in the Inlay Images area.
- Go to your own longitude-spaced image. The example image below is from the attached BMP file that was built off of the attached PowerPoint file.
- Once loaded, select the Transparent check box for the file.
- Click OK to save your changes and close the 2D Graphics window properties.
- Now you will have a 2D Graphics window with the desired East-only longitude labelling.
